I am putting a brand-new drive belt on mine GT235 and also from what I can tell I need to remove the PTO clutch in stimulate to gain the belt top top the wheel on the engine. I"ve got the bottom fifty percent of the clutch off but can not get the top half off. I don"t know what I"m doing dorn - any kind of suggestions? many thanks for your aid - Pete

So how do you adjust the belt there is no removing the clutch?I have a GT235 and also the belt is damaged and also needs to be replaced. I"ve removed the bolt to the clutch but it won"t budge. I"ve sprayed it with PB Blaster a couple of times and also beat on it because that a pair days and it"s not moving.Also, wherein does the spring tensioner connect for the drive belt? You most definitely do not have to remove the PTO to readjust the belt. Ns guess it just seems there"s too much stuff there but I"ll give it a try.I"ll grab part lock tite also so ns don"t loose the bolt. Ns think I could run it without the bolt (don"t problem I won"t :bonk: )

I have a couple questions around that clutch. In every due respect, i don"t see how the belt will ever loosen up sufficient to slip over the clutch. It appears the clutch does have to come off. Mine tractor has the Kawasaki engine if the makes any kind of differance. If i take the #20 part (bolt) out and also use a 8" puller to gain the cluch off, how tough will it it is in to placed the clutch earlier on? go the #20 bolt rotate counterclockwise come loosen and should it be locktighted earlier on?Thanks for every the help.
