yeah definately do-able, why not? the width the rim need to be quite decent because that a tire favor that, 285"s are choose 11.5 or something along those lines. 305s are only going to be about an customs or for this reason wider.Edit: I understand it"s type of a step in the opposite direction but guys run 315 75"s on stock chebby wheels, and they"re prefer 6.5 or 7 wide. Ns think the encourage rim width for a specific tire is much more of a guide line, wherein you"ll gain the most life the end of your tires. Look at at that stupid vw trend, men are extending 10..11..sometimes even 12 inch vast rims top top 195/45s or whatever. You"ll definately be safe and also in the clear. 11.5 tire and also 10 in salt is pushin" the a little...8"s room better. BUT...there"s a couple of members here running 11.50"s top top 10"s and have no problems. I"d be afraid of popping a bead when aired down and also wheelin". Now...if the tires was bumped as much as say a 305, yeah, 10"s would certainly be perfect.
Just wonder if you could explain her answer a little more. I"m no trying to be arrogant, simply want to understand a little an ext as to why. For example, Let"s say ns was mounting a 325 80 for exaggerations sake. I have a an option of going with my OEM 16x7 wheels, or to do the action up to part 16x10s. Why is it you think that something prefer a 16x7 would pop beads less than a 16x10? i wouldn"t desire to run a thin rim through a broad tire, however in this guys instance I would certainly think going with a 10inch rim on a 285 would certainly be pop less beads compared to a 305. Probably I"m wrong, im just trying to find some sort of a far better answer than "no." Thanks.
