Hey,I have a 2001 Dodge ram 1500 through the 5.9L V8 sport package. I recently had to change my water pump and also thermostat. After correctly running and also reading the ideal temperature because that a few days, the van started reading a high temp for a couple of seconds at start-up then return to norm. Now, the truck automatically reads 280 levels at start-up, even if that is 30 levels out. I am assuming the the temperature sensor has gone bad and wanted her opinions. Is this right? and if so, does any kind of have a Haynes manual to watch upload photos of the place of the sensor and also how to replace it?Thanks because that the helpMitchell
the ECT sensor is behind her alternator, kinda smaller sensor v a 2 cable conector.. The removable without removing the alt, BUT! removed the alt does make it alot! easier...
