Online search claims to additionally replace CHT (Cylinder Head Temperature) sensor...Haynes manual has actually no guidance as to where it is...where is this sensor? Anyone? Cannot discover it top top the engine almost everywhere that i can easily see. Deserve to anyone phone call me whereby it is located?1999 Ranger 2wd 2.5L 4 cyl. 5-speed manual.
Have you confirm that the thermostat is keeping coolant flow reduced until the engine reaches operation temperature? The sensors are pretty reliable, moreso than the thermostat in the they space variable resistors, changing resistance with temperature, i m sorry is a very "normal" duty of just about everything... Well, sufficient stuff to recognize it is common to nature. The top radiator hose need to remain cold until the temperature gauge reads normal or you obtain HOT air out of the heater. Both heater hoses need to be too warm to keep your hand in ar on them, repeat BOTH. The upper hose should acquire hot just after the thermostat opens. If the gets warm as soon as you start the engine, warmth being relative, the stat is suspect.tom
Only two temperature sensors, one because that the gauge and one for the computer. Both of i m sorry are an installed on the thermostat housing.
